What types of garage door are there? There are 3 basic types of modern garage door; One-piece, Roller and Sectional. Each type offers its own benefits and each can be used in different applications. Additionally there is the conventional Side-Hinged option.
How do I know the size of door I need? We can supply and install various doors to fit almost any opening. Whilst domestic garage requirements have a range of products to suit almost all standard openings (from 6ft to 16ft wide and 6ft to 10ft high) however, outside of these there are also many made to measure options. We will be happy to measure the requirement for you and recommend the right size of door.
I don't know what I need, can you help? We would be delighted to discuss any of your requirements with you and then give you an early estimate or a full quotation.
Can the doors be insulated? Generally, Sectional and Roller doors offer insulated options. This is particularly useful if there is a room above the garage or if it is used as a workshop.
I have a short driveway, what type of door would be best? Both Roller and Sectional doors open and close without the arc of travel. This is ideal for a property with a short driveway or garage as you can park right up to the door itself.
If I buy a new door, how do I dispose of the old one? We will take the old door away and dispose of it in an appropriate manner.
What type of material are doors made from? The most commonly used materials in the manufacture of garage doors are steel, glass reinforced polyester (GRP) or natural timber.
Are you insured if there is an accident whilst you are on my property? We are fully insured and additionally all of our work is, of course, fully guaranteed.
